brought to you by the hunger games

it's been foooooooreeeeever since I last posted some sketches. so here are some I have been doing in the festive spirit of the hunger games movie coming out.
remember those crazies from the capitol who have a psychotic style? welp, those crazies were my inspiration for this collection. it was pretty fun.

this one is a clock. at every hour the birds on the shoulder would sing a song. and the pendulum thing would move back in forth. also, the boots have grape bushels.. or whatever... hanging from them.

and the headband in her green hair is a nest with an egg.

this one has a crown with purple suns on the spikes. the stuff coming from the back of the dress is a bunch of feathers. the boots are super furry. and her skin is dyed blue with lines.

purple hair, really high collar, some jewels hanging from the boots.

banana necklace, fishbowl with real fish on bracelet. hobo inspired pants. purple skin.

I don't even know.

this dress is like a humungous gem. she has a crystal ball necklace and platform boots.

coat thingy with roses and tassels. blue jumpsuit with a pleated and ruffled shirt underneath. and pretty awesome blue hair.

so those are my clothes from the capitol. the end.

on another note, I have become quite hooked on polyvore. it's pretty great. so don't be surprised to see lots more of my sets in the future.
oh and I took my pictures by myself today. hence the cut off legs.... I tried.

redesigned floral dress

I did this project a long time ago and I guess I just kind of forgot about it. I finally wore it today.
I got this vintage dress out of my mom's closet. I shortened the hem, took in the sides, and made the sleeves  tighter. I like how it turned out. There's nothing better than a floral dress :)
oh and sorry, no before pictures... I think I deleted them :(

hello, it's been a while. I've been sick and we haven't had internet at my house for the past few days, so that's my excuse :)
I thought I would show you a quick project I did yesterday. I just took some flared jeans that I never wore and then sewed down the sides to make them skinny. pretty nifty.
