sewing project

So the other day I was sitting in my room and I didn't really have anything important to do so I was looking through some fabric stuff and came across this horrendous creation I made in 8th grade- a shirt. And I thought, what is the point of having this ugly article of clothing I will never wear in my life? Why don't I turn it into something I will be able to wear without publicly humiliating myself? You see, this shirt was for clothing class and so I didn't really try my hardest. the neck was really crooked and wrinkly and it was just not pretty. So I cut off the top and the sleeves and turned it into a skirt. Pretty nifty eh? The bow was around the waist of the shirt and now it is around the hips of the skirt. I'm pretty sure I'm a genius. not. I have some other sewing projects I could do so those could possibly find their way on this blog someday. maybe.

Disney Princesses, part two

Here is Jasmine. Tamsyn's is on the left and Markees is not on the left, it is on the right.. in case you were confused.
Tamsyn:  I made her wearing the headress she wears to the market and the genie's arm bands and see through sleeves. I added stripes to the top of her pants that are like her dad's.
Markee: Have you ever wondered what Jasmine would like if she were wearing Aladdin's clothes? Well... there you go. She is wearing Aladdin's pants and vest. The rest are slightly altered versions of what she usually wears. Yep. The end.

Disney Princesses, first installment

Today we decided to design Disney Princess outfits with our own twists. Here is Mulan. Markee's is on the left and mine (Tamsyn's) is on the right... obviously.
Markee: Mine is more of Mulan's man side (Ping). The top is womanly but the rest is Ping. And she has girl Mulan's hair.
Tamsyn: Mine is more of girl Mulan. I made her dress and sleeves shorter and added her soldierly calf and forearm guards. She has a mix of girl/boy hair.
We did sketches of all the princesses so those will be posted probably every once in a while. and that is all! goodbye.

spring is here!

Spring is here! And I do love spring!! here are a couple of springy ouftits for you. This first one is a dress with green wirish things coming out from the top to make a little flower garden. plus petal looking shoes.
Khaki shorts of course. and a green-blue top with a transparent neckline. and cool shoes too. (blue and pink with buttons)
pencil skirt with appliqued (?) flowers on the bottom. and a long sleeved shirt under a loose and translucent mock turtleneck blouse.
A pink waistcoat with buttoned open-toed ankle boots.
A lacy cardigan with a skinny bow and cropped shorts. and those sandals that everyone has.
Bright springy colors on this one. The skirt is really green, I promise, but my scanner made it look yellow. weird. blue suspenders and a pink polkadot top. and dark blue hightop converse of course.
Teal rain boots. those would be cool to have. and a mix of bright colors.
This kind of reminds me of a sunflower. There is a black flower necklace and skinny black belt and a yellow shirt. and then an aqua shirt underneath. The shorts have pink stitching and the shoes are really nifty. too bad you can't really see them. blasted scanner.
I think I have an obsession with lacey things. because yet again, here is an outfit with a lacy undershirt. I need to find a new inspiration or something. The flats have ruffles all around them.
This one is probably my favorite. The top is zebraish looking, but it's not zebra print and then pink lace sleeves. see, lace again... and light pink capris with open-toed blue boots with white bows on the back. oh and a blue choker necklace.
And that is all for now. I hope it will really start to feel like spring soon. I miss the sun.

Rock star

This an old one. Yup that's all I have to say.

Crazy formal

This one was just a random awesome one!

Loose and FREE

This is and exciting design. I am making this dress with the help from my best friends, Jourdan Nabhan, Brittany Hanks.

Accents

The story behind this design is a kind of long one....kind of.
My lovely mother bought me a Vogue fashion magazine and I was looking though it and I saw an outfit that had a cardigan and a belt like this
<------- and it inspired my to make this. :)

Flower Garden

This is an outfit i designed during math class because I extremely bored. I might make this design.

St. Patrick's day (late)

It's very late. I'm usually late because my scanner doesn't work and I have to give my designs to Tamsyn and I usually forget. I'm sorry.

some coolish designs

I would love a pair of leggings like that.... that mini-dress would be very simple to make.... maybe someday.
This outfit kind of reminds me of Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. I can see her wearing blue tights with gold polkadots... I really love her style, and yeah, I know she's not real. unfortunately.
I think it would be so cool to have a quirky, playful dress like this (yeah, the print is lollipops :)) Plus, I really want shoes like that.
Usually I don't make ouftits match as much as this one does. Floral tights and a dress with the same colors. That would be hard to find. But I guess I was too lazy to think of more creative colors. I love the old-fashioned but new look kind of like this dress.
I made up a new style of overalls. At least I think I made it up?? The shoes are made of silk and see-through fabric.
I love vintage... This bow dress would be something you could find in your grandma's closet I think. And since my scanner is horrible... or maybe it's my colored pencils... you can't really tell but the tights are a translucent gray and underneath the dress is a translucent floral blouse. The shoes have a big ugly rose on them. awesome.
well.. that is all for now!

Saint Patrick's Day

well as you can see we have been really lazy about posting for like... a month. oops. and I missed a holiday Gah. So, I do celebrate St. Patricks day, I'm not anti-Irish, so here is my outfit. Markee should be posting hers soon. maybe. In the meantime, I shall post some other random things to make up for my tragic slacking.
P.S. I hope you all wore green. Or else you get a phantom pinch.
