Design # dous Done!

I had some help with this dress and I think I should give my thanks to them:

This is not a very hard dress to make. I made it with my little knowledge of sewing. (I have only taken a clothing 1 class, that's it.) The hardest part was making the pattern and making up the steps as I went. So I really think anyone could make this dress.

springtime

state trip!

so...markee and I went on a trip with our school fccla chapter to compete with our star events. markee did fashion design and I did the recycle and redesign project I showed earlier (the pants and jumpsuit I made into a skirt)
it was really fun. we stayed in a hotel and basically messed around. eating yummy food, hanging out and meeting people.

I changed my mind.

If you have really awesome memory you will recall that when I made my grape shirt from a square, I made another before it, kind of a practice. I hadn't worn it because I didn't really like it, but I decided to give it a second chance, and now I think it's pretty great.
I like how it's loose, not fitted, which is in style right now. the neckline is kind of obnoxiously wide, but other than that... super.

I'm super happy that it is getting warmer, and I can actually take pictures outside without shivering violently because I was really getting sick of the white walls behind me. now you can see green! well... more like brown actually.

Confidence

I just felt like telling you all that with confidence you can do anything, and be anyone. You can take on any look and pull it off. Yesterday I went to a blue and gold banquet for my little brother Nicolas. Tamsyn may know this but I don't like to wear pin stripe things, and that is just what I wore to this banquet. Pin stripe dress pants with a matching vest I got a long time ago. I had my hair up in a messy bun and I was wearing a mustache that I got for Valentine's day. Yes I was out in public with a fake mustache on. Anyway to cut this story short Sister Wallace (someone who was there) came up to me and told me I could pull off anything I wear. I believe the reason for that is because I have confidence. So keep your heads up and be confident!
